NEW MEMBERS



Bacchus welcomes new players at all times. We endeavour to keep a good balance of sound across the orchestra and, as a result, if we get fifteen euphonium players asking to join at the same time (dream on) there may be a few disappointments!


Potential players are invited to join us for rehearsals. After three rehearsals, we ask you to decide - it has frequently taken just one session for such players to want to stay with us. Even if you do not then join us, we can put you in touch with other orchestras and bands in the surrounding area and would invite you to join our list of reserve players.


So we invite players of all the relevant instruments to contact us.

REHEaRSALS





Bacchus rehearses on Wednesday evenings, 8pm-10pm, at Judd School in Tonbridge. We meet almost every Wednesday in term time. This gives us typically 35 rehearsals per year. We also have rehearsals on the day of our formal concerts. There is, of course, variation in this, especially around the time of concerts.

Subscription





Bacchus is a not-for-profit charity organisation, and as such we keep our subscription rates to the minimum required to run a growing and thriving orchestra. Our Subscription year is September to August. This subscription is a major part of Bacchus's income helping to pay for all our rehearsal costs, our music and our other administrative and insurance costs. Note that we now aim for about 35 rehearsals per year, with extras as required before concerts. Subs can be paid either annually or termly.


Subscription rate - full members

Annual rate: £130

Termly rate: £50


Subscription rate - "juniors" (which includes anyone in full-time education)

Annual rate: £65

Termly rate: £25 Subscriptions are due at the beginning of each term (September for Annual payment).
